Totally Inspiring Room(s)

image

Sometimes when you’re looking at interiors, you come across a space that speaks to your soul. Perhaps that’s a little melodramatic but I was so entranced by Darcy Miller Nussbaum’s home in the February 2012 issue of Architectural Digest that I’m sure woke the dead with all my oohing and aahing. There is loads more of this winning design by MR Architecture + Decor at Architectural Digest.

Office Whites

I ended up at Architectural Digest early this morning, more or less on a fluke, and found a gallery of home offices. There were a couple of really beautiful examples of what can be done to make your home office gorgeous and functional… but my favorite was this simple, all white (go figure!) configuration of cabinets and open shelves. Fantastic! I love an all or predominantly white office. It feels like picking up a clean sheet of paper: ready for whatever you will bring to it.

Have a happy Saturday!

Blue Monday

I had a super low key weekend… you know the kind where you watch every movie you own while making all that popcorn stock you bought really work for you? Seriously though, when I wasn’t loafing around, I was looking for some blue rooms to inspire myself and you with. Have a happy Monday!

This soft Robin’s Egg blue lacquered living room is a standout.

A Miles Redd living room also with lacquered walls. I love the mix here of blue, brown, black, cream, and red. This room looks really livable doesn’t it?
